Request Converse Can anyone find this old converse video?

On TV back in the early 90's, I think on Nickelodeon, there was a short video of a boy who got a new pair of pink converse from his parents. I usually cite seeing this video as the beginning of my love for converse, especially trashing them and getting them dirty. The parents tell the boy not to mess up the new shoes, but he goes out and does it anyway. He plays soccer in wet grass, rips open the toe caps of the sneakers on a chain-link fence so that his toes poke out, steps in gum, jumps in water, and walks through sand, completely ruining the sneakers. He comes home, completely unaware of what he's done, and his father says "looks like somebody needs a new pair of sneakers". The entire video is shot at foot level, and the soundtrack is Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King". This video may have been on Eureka's Castle. I've been trying to find it for years without success. Does anyone know where to find this clip? Thanks!

OMG!! I knew I wasn't crazy when I thought about it. I really want to see this video. I hope we can find it. It plagues me all life. It is what started my shoe love, and Converse love. 🙂

So have I! This is totally from Eureka's Castle! I remember running into it sometime ago when it was being rerun, but never seen again. But I totally remember seeing it too originally in my early years in the early 1990s, likely helped me start my love for converse too!

Nick had a lot of awesome sneker related material, like the slimed shoes (with a lot of platform sneakers) that were to be thrown onto a wire during one of those afternoon shows. A game which reran on GAS which had a bunch of Chucks nailed on a door which contestents could choose. A lot of other stuff too!

Actually... from other tv-series from the 80'ies I kind of remember that the daughtes in "The Cosby-skow" wore Converse from time to time.. Anyone who can confirm and perhaps even document this?

surely it is on youtube every other {old} TV show is ~ I even found Invader Zim in Spanish??!! or doesn't Nickelodeon have an archive site or DVD's you could purchase

I'm sure there is somewhere. As for youtube, I tried looking myself, a few episodes are up, but many are the same 4 or 5. It took quite a while until Isodora's sneakers (shown above) was uploaded to Youtube. I do keep a lookout for the one in question though, as well as other old school things of that nature.

I do have to say, I DO love that Isodora's sneakers scene. It's a memorable one from my childhood too! Wish we could see more vids of real shoes coming alive like that.

This video starts out with the girl wearing a really lovely pair of beat-up white converse high tops. Any news on the sneaker trashing video that started this post? That would be a real prize.

With some more research, it's possible it may have been from another show on Nickelodeon, "Today's Special". The most likely candidate is the first season episode "Shoes" which I haven't been able to find online. Any help either with this show or with Eureeka's Castle? Thanks!
