Judging by how active the forums are, I'd say 12, maybe 14 -- and most of them seem to be out of town at the moment. 🙁

I have written stories (OK, not so many lately). Others have posted fantastic pictures. Seeker has spent good money on photoshoots that have exceeded anything else out there.

And still only the "usual suspects" show up. :evil:

I've been to the scheduled chats on Sunday and Wednesday. Maybe every other time someone is there.

How do we get the word out? Like Keds, we seem to need some more PR.
 
Mule I'm even guilty of missing the chats which I'm not happy about I also found out that some of the user accounts that were imported to this new board are not working, funny because I imported over 3000 on the other site without a problem. Yours might have been one of the problem accounts as I recall you had trouble as well.

On to your observation, yes we are a small group perhaps too small to have a good ongoing dialog. This was one of the reasons I wanted to start adding new sneaker brands to the site. I thought by adding Converse we might grow a bit and add to the pot. I also opened a pretty good free area so we good get some guest participation by that seems to have fizzled as well.

Funny you can't even get participation when you give something away.
 
If you look at the other sneaker groups and forums, there aren't a lot of activity there, either. Maybe most sneaker fetishists aren't that articulate. I can make one suggestion. I think the site should be a lot more inviting. Use a lot of graphics or pics of girls in sneakers to pull in the stray viewer. Or maybe you can advertise at the yahoo groups and clubs, and offer them a home here. Just a thought. Anyway, I think you're doing a great job amd I ,for one, appreciate what you're doing.

After several years of working with Pam and Eve on their web pages, I've found that no matter what I do to attract new members, its the girls that get all the attention. I've met some really nice males during the business transactions. I few I actually consider friends. But I'm the same as most guys I've met, I'd much rather talk about sneakers with a female. Scheduling chats is fine, but if you want to increase the participation, find some women that will be interested in talking to a bunch of horny guys. A room full of guys can only have so much fun before it gets old.

Maybe there is a way to advertise in clubs that women frequent and find ways to attract them to this site. One sure fire way of getting a woman's attention is to offer her shoes. How about a signing bonus to any women that join the club and agree to participate in the chats? OK, now I'm just being silly.

This is a great site and I'm glad that Seeker hasn't given up on the lot of us. I just wish that I wasn't on the West coast and so far from the happening time zone.

I've considered this a few times but always decided against going with the grain. I get turned off really quick when I get to a site that the front page is a girl doing whatever and tour / join buttons all over the place. I guess in mind mind if I get turned off others do as well. Traffic is not really an issue, I can get all the traffic I want. I also tried to weed through the yahoo clubs and it's even more frustrating.

Bottom line I have no patience

I gave up long ago thinking that there were any women even remotely interested in our fetish. The only ones I have ever met were our wives and girl friends and even then it was out of love and not the sneakers. There are even many from that group that don't indulge the husbands/boy friends at all. As for the chats, I've never considered the chat as a tool to get off. I like the guys in the group, many are long time friends and it's nice to keep up of events from around the globe.

Sorry I didn't want to burst any bubbles but WHERE ARE THE GIRLS!

The fact is women very rarely have fetishes, now I'm not saying that they aren't kinky don't enjoy play things but they just don't get off the same way men do.

BTW we had a pretty good chat today.
