they are really awful and disgusting imo. just because something is popular doesn't mean it's cool.

That being the case, I don't even know where I'd begin to say what I DON'T like....almost EVERYTHING!
We're enduring a whole lot of stuff on here that ISN'T popular. So,does that make it cool? I guess being cool means sitting alone in front of a computer looking at pictures of shoes that were cool 40 years ago.:icon_wink

So, psycomonkey, if you can't take the heat you're getting here, feel free to PM me and we can share Birkenstock pics....I've got a whole bunch.

You guys are pretty harsh! If you don't like birkenstocks, don't look at the images. We're all here because we want to build a community and support each other, and singling out this guy because of his birkenstock fetish is the opposite of the attitude we want to foster.

I'm not one who gets too excited over Birks, but I really don't get bothered if people have a fetish for them, but I don't see too well how they would fit on the forum, since this focuses more on sneakers. Afterall, I'm sure there is a huge Birks guy somewhere out there that just dosn't get my Chucks fetish.

the way I see it, is this board is a great gathering place for people with shoe fetishes. Sure, this site is about sneakers...however, amongst the sneakers folk, you're going to find various other fetishes. Maybe you don't need to set up big posts about Birkenstocks, but there's no better place for people who ARE into them to link up and do stuff off board. Chill out. Judge not...etc..blah, blah...
