In a previous post, it was mentioned how there are various "generations" of Keds. I'm familiar with some of the more significant changes over time but probably not as much as I should be. I know the insole has changed a few times from tan to white to blue. And, there was the flared heel in the early 2000's. Also, at some point, the little Keds tag was added to the side and the Keds logo was added to the top of the tongue.

That said, what are the other changes from the 1960's into the 1970's into the 1980's?

Thanks,
Ron

Back in the 60’s I believe, there was a pointy toe on them. Then that became more rounded. The canvas and sole were of thicker quality in the 80’s and 90’s.

The best ever were the 1990's pebble sole. Thick canvas that lasted forever, better footbed padding, much WIDER fit, so much more comfortable, washed amazingly good in the washer, held its shape, glue never ran, white eyelets, just a great shoe.
