I came across a 2013 movie called "Solo" where a girl in her late teens or early 20's is camping by herself on an island. She wear blue canvas Keds champions most of the movie. At various points in the movie she walks through water and mud and also wears them when swimming.

The title of this film was changed to "Alone". There was another solo gay movie out in 2013 as well.

The lead character is played by Annie Clarke, whose main claim to fame was her stint as Fiona on several seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was about 20 at the time of filming. You can stream Alone for free on Tubi. Here's the trailer (made when it was still titled "Solo"):
