If we can define ‘new’ as ‘new to you’ how about you find yourself a pair of 20th century Keds. Old plain blue labels. For example champions made in Korea or sporting the ‘they feel good’ words on their footbeds. And yes, preferably canvas.
White Leather Champions are by far my favorite... the 90's and early 2000's ones were the best, but still prefer the leather today over all else! What size do you wear?

Last, but certainly not least, I think the Skylar would look SUPER HOT on you!!! I have yet to see a woman wearing them in real life, but they remind me of the 90s/early-2000s sneakers girls and women would wear and they were HOT!!

Keds (especially white leather) have become so rare that I have decided, as of late, that if I see any woman wearing them in any style, I make sure and go up to them and compliment them 🙂 I have yet to have a bad experience! Women LOVE compliments and if they know that these shoes are doing it for us, that's what they really want anyway. The comfort and ease of styling are just bonuses...
I have also bought a few pair for the women in my life, whether romantic with them or not, and have yet to experience a bad response from that either. I guess you could call it "seed starting" the change I'm wanting to see in popular styles today. What's interesting to me is they all LOVE them!!!! That's why I have such a hard time understanding why women won't just choose to wear them in the first place??
What do you say when you compliment these women in public and is it different depending on which style of Keds they’re wearing? Not much new with Keds, I did see these, and I am somewhat happy that they have white eyelets in the sneakers.

It seems the marketing department in Keds are morons. Go back to the basics, is all I can say for Keds. Bring back the white eyelets so Keds do not look so cheap anymore, bring more patterns and colours.

I bought two of those in black and one white. But they are pretty much sold out and discontinued.Not much new with Keds, I did see these, and I am somewhat happy that they have white eyelets in the sneakers.

I try to be confident and, as I walk by, I just make eye contact and say, "I Love Your Keds..." while "pointing" with my eyes or gesturing downward toward them. At this point, most women that wear Keds bought them for a reason; it's what they've always worn and are brand loyal or they chose them for their comfort and specific look. Having someone notice BY NAME what they're wearing, whether they are single, married, or attached, is flattering and confirming. They deserve the compliment and affirmation 🙂
Most of the time, it sparks some sort of a response other than just a "Thank You". They may blush, probably smile, and after thanking for the compliment they usually explain where they got them or why they like them or what feature about them they like. For instance, they may like the extra height added by the sole of the Triple Up or the Triple Kick or they may like the clean simplicity of the Champion or how durable and easy the leather cleans up... if they do, I sometimes will explain that I have always loved them and think they are very flattering and that I wish more women would wear them... if they do just give a simple "Thank You", that's okay too!! At least I gave them a compliment and may have brightened their day 🙂 It's amazing how if you just treat a woman like a person and make I contact when you speak to them, how far that'll get you... guys don't always have to be "on the prowl" and that usually makes them stand out. It is more than okay to give people random compliments! What could it ever hurt?
The same goes for women in my life that I have given them to as gifts; I usually wait for the right moment and straight up ask them what size shoes they wear, then just ask them what they think about Keds or something. Pretty much every time, the opportunity arises to show them the Leather Champions and explain to them why I like them and how flattering they are on women that wear them. This usually peaks their interest; like I have said before, most women dress for attention or even just to be noticed. Depending on their openness level, I will offer to get them a pair, explaining that I just want more women to wear them and how good I think the Keds would look on them. Sometimes I wait for a birthday or holiday and surprise them with a pair. Some of them, depending on our relationship, I explain how sexy I think they are they will wear them "for me"...
Moral of the story: You miss 100% of the shots you DON'T TAKE!!
