I love seeing girls writing/drawing/colouring/using Sharpie on their sneakers! WOW. Make me think of being in class..bored or just near the end of the day Reminds me most of two sisters I was in school with who were 'different' to say the least ..who the rumous in town were..well their parents, were hippies One girl was in my grade the other a year younger. Usually wore white Keds as we all did in the 60s..duh..white Keds champs are literally a blank canvas.Evetually say after their Keds were not quite..realy bright white..their shoes sported flowers and swirls and waves drawn in...it was cool to see therse drawings fade..they didn't seem to wash them as much as my sis did. I always hoped to be in the class they were writing on their Keds..but it always seemed to be bfore or after..I was around. Now,that I think about, Iprobably could have asked to write on them ,too. Also another time..later in 'the Dirty Dancing 80s' when Keds were everywhere again when I was in the classroom. I did watch 2 or 3 girls draw and write on their shoes..turning their white Keds into checkerbords.
