My wife (34F) getting ready for a trip to the local market place in Saudi Arabia. She’s all covered up as per local customs and wearing a long sleeves tunic (they call it a kameez) with mom jeans and head covering. She opted for a pair of no brands canvas Keds knockoffs but found out they have a hole on the side causing her pinky toe stick out. She is wearing them laceless and sockless - she hates both but doesn’t like the grandmotherly style of champion slip ons. She got complemented on her practical outfit by some of the younger ladies in our group. Two of them were forced to walk barefoot after the horrible hot weather and ballet flats caused them blisters.

Unfortunately no. She got a few looks from other ladies in our group who asked her if she didn't have another pair of shoes. She said she'll remember to pack a pair of bensimons next time.
