I'm not brave enough to wear Champions out in public. If it was more wide spread I would. I'm not gay ( I'm married) or a cross dresser, but I would definitily like to wear KEDS champs. About 6 years ago I had a pair of navy men's anchors which looked like a cross between a champion and a boat sneaker. These I did wear in public and that was as close as I got. Now I mainly have VANS. Having my wife with me helps if I get any strange looks.

Go for it Tom. Honestly, no one cares. Not saying that is a dickish way, just that literally everything in society goes. You can wear them and be 100% fine, no weird looks or comments. I wear my Keds champs every day in public, haven't had a negative comment in over 10 years. ;-)

If you like them, fuck it, wear what you want. but, GET YOUR WIFE matching Keds! It's tons of fun to wear Keds out together.

In the mean time I'll continue wearing Vans & shorts with socks. That way they seem highlighted. That's the way I like to see Keds worn

Thanks! They are fairly new, had the navy a couple months and only started to wear the stone last week.

I work in retail and wear Keds regularly. Color wise in order of frequency black, navy, stone, white. I've never had the guts to try red but maybe someday. Today I'm in stone.

For years I would wear women's sneakers pretty much everywhere and every day. But, they were generally colors that you couldn't really tell whether they were men's or women's. No Keds, solid white, pink or something that was definitely a women's only style. Well, I would sometimes go for a drive wearing them (and drive fast :wink🙂 but rarely would I get out of the car wearing them.

Not so much today. For a few years now I have gone back to wearing men's sneakers because it seemed to me that people I worked with were starting to notice by some of the comments they were making. It's been 3 years since I bought a pair of women's sneakers to be a daily driver. I still have a couple of pairs in a nearly worn out state and I probably won't be bringing them along when I move soon.

I wear my keds, vans or target keds every day. Don't really care what people think or say and my GF digs it. Fuck what strangers think and enjoy life, wear what you want. !
